If you’re reading this, it means that over a year after we first published the pilot episode of our labor of love, narrative podcast, Debt Heads, we have finally completed the first season.
From the very first day we started working on this project, we knew how we wanted it to end. But … we had no idea how long it would take us to get there.
Since that day, we have worked nearly every weekend, every night, in between gigs and full time jobs, family commitments, new cats and (infrequent) sleep.
And now, it’s done. Our brainchild, the first piece of art either one of us have ever made purely for ourselves. There has been a lot of crying over the past week, much of which has happened while we listened to the episodes.
It could be delirium, but we also think it might be… really good? Only one way to find out:
If it’s within your means, you can become a subscriber on Apple in one click for just $3.99 per month and get early access to binge every new episode, ad-free.
You’ll also get access to our backlog of bonus episodes and future fun bonus episodes we have planned, too!
And if you do like what you hear, please, please, leave us a five-star rating & review.
Somehow in between all that, we also managed to also plan an elaborate launch party, inspired by our love of happy hour and as an homage to Blockheads (RIP).
More on that to come in the next newsletter, but as a taste, here’s us at Restaurant Depot at the crack of dawn after staying up all night to finish the last episode one day before launch. We were doing REALLY WELL, can you tell?
Finally! We have merch now. Wow! Our (In)Sufficient Fun(ds) hats are sold out, but you can pre-order yours here.
We also have a limited number of sweatshirts featuring original artwork by our friend Dan Funderburgh — you can email us to purchase those.
Who has listened to episode six? What do you think, Barbies?
XO,
J+R
