I have never felt more heard or seen by an essay from the deeply vulnerable thoughts around our relationship with our body, to what we "should" be / do / have, to the cultural references to Kylie Jenner - this was incredible!
OMG...I love this first installment. Jamie AF. What's working for me? Empty Talenti jars, which are great for holding my year-long collection of Covid Corks, AKA life-saving plasma; a play list called "Mommy's Songs," shamelessly played while holding (clacking) my son's electronic drumsticks (maybe the renovation should not have included so much glass [windows] around the kitchen); NOT wearing leggings all day, every day, as so many people are (really - you can't "get dressed?"); wearing lipstick/lip gloss, not anticipating Zoom calls (yes, I do work from home and have for 13 years).
Okay, here's the deal on that. I'm fairly good with paragraphs and blurbs, but full on paper/article/proposal stuff? Not so much. I'm in awe of people who can and do. And what makes it more interesting or better, responding to JAF, is that I know the players. Would she even remember meeting me for 10 minutes at a Route 80 farmstand? You're in NJ all the time. Please meet me at South & Pine, Morristown, once Passover has passed...over. Outdoor seating. South Street shopping. Crazy good ice cream opportunities.
OMG! Yes!! It’s definitely a date ... at least for me anyway. And I’m pretty sure that I can safely say that JAF will not pass up a chance to experience crazy Ice cream opportunities!! I’m also pretty certain that she remembers that ‘you push and I’ll pull’ AT EXACTLY THE SAME TIME at that random market. However, it was on rt 209 LOL 😂
